# Optional Features

*(Version 1.3.x)* The **Features** tab enables two extra storefront tools that go beyond basic prescription collection: the **My Pill Box** organizer and the **frontend prescription search**. Both are off by default.

## Settings

### Enable Chronic Disease Pill Organizer (My Pill Box)
Adds a **My Pill Box** area to *My Account* where customers create custom "family health folders" — named groups of medicines they can re‑order in one click. Ideal for repeat and chronic‑disease purchases.

### Enable Frontend Prescription Search Engine
Turns on a quick prescription‑scanning block on the storefront. A shopper uploads a prescription image and the product listing is filtered to the medicines the prescription mentions.

### Search Layout Display Location
Where the search block appears for patients:

| Option | Placement |
| --- | --- |
| Display on Shop & Product Category Pages | Above the product grid on shop and category archives |
| Display Above WooCommerce Cart Table | Above the items on the cart page |

> **Default:** *Display on Shop & Product Category Pages*. Only applies when the search engine is enabled.

## When to use these

| Feature | Best for |
| --- | --- |
| **My Pill Box** | Stores with repeat customers on ongoing medication — makes re‑ordering a saved set of medicines effortless. |
| **Prescription Search** | Larger catalogs where shoppers want to jump straight to the products named on their script. |

Both are self‑contained: enabling them won't change how prescription gating or approval works — they simply add convenience for shoppers.
