# How are commissions handled?

You set the marketplace commission from the admin, and per-vendor rules are supported. When an order is placed, each vendor's earning is the sale amount minus your commission.

- For rules beyond a single marketplace-wide rate, the [Advanced Commission add-on](https://store.webkul.com/woocommerce-multi-vendor-commission.html) adds tiered and category-based rules.
