Managing the Barcode Pool
When you upload sequential files, the barcodes are stored in a centralized pool table within the WordPress database. You can manage this pool directly from the Import Codes tab.
Batch Tracking
The plugin organizes your imported pool into distinct batches based on your file uploads. On the Import Codes tab, you will see a table displaying:
- Batch Date/Time: When the file was uploaded.
- Filename: The name of the original uploaded file.
- Total Codes: The total number of valid codes extracted from the file.
- Used Codes: How many codes from this specific batch have been assigned to products.
- Available Codes: How many codes are left to be assigned.
Multi-File Continuation
One of the most important features of the pool system is Multi-file continuation.
You do not need to manually track which barcode you used last. When one uploaded file runs out of available codes during a bulk assignment or over time as new products are created, you simply upload the next file.
The assignment process will continue seamlessly from the new batch without any conflicts, ensuring a continuous supply of barcodes for your store.
Pool Cleanup
If you ever upload an incorrect file or decide to change your barcode provider, you can clean up the unused codes.
- Delete Unused Codes: Each batch row in the table includes a "Delete" action. Clicking this will remove all unassigned codes belonging to that specific batch from the pool.
- Safe Deletion: The plugin will never delete a code that has already been assigned to a product. Deleting a batch only removes the remaining available stock from the pool.
