Vendor Product Management

Vendors can manage their products directly from the Vendor Dashboard, including adding, editing, and managing inventory and product details.

Product Types Supported

Vendors can add the following 5 product types:

• Simple Product
• Grouped Product
• External / Affiliate Product
• Variable Product
• Downloadable Product

Vendor Product List

• Vendors can view all their products under Product List
• Available actions:
  • Search products
  • Edit products
  • Delete products
• Product status counters available:
  • Published
  • Low Stock
  • Out of Stock
  • Draft
  • On Sale

Vendors can only see admin-published products if auto-publish is disabled by the admin.

Edit Product

• Vendors can edit:
  • Basic product details
  • Inventory settings
  • Product status
• Edit options become available after product creation.

Add Product

• Vendor clicks on Add Product from the dashboard menu.
• Select:
  • Product Category
  • Product Type
• Click Next to proceed.

Product Details

Vendors must enter the following details:

• Product Name
• About Product
• Product Thumbnail
• Product SKU
• Regular Price
• Sale Price
• Short Description

Click Save after entering details.

Minimum Order & Quantity Settings

• Vendors can manage:
  • Minimum order amount for checkout
  • Maximum purchase quantity
• Accessible via Change Product Miscellaneous Settings

Inventory Management

• Enable Stock Management at Product Level
• Configure:
  • Stock Quantity
  • Backorders (Allow / Not Allow / Allow but Notify)
  • Low Stock Threshold
  • Sell Individually option
  • Max Purchasable Quantity

Shipping Details

• Vendors can enter product-specific shipping information.

Linked Products

• Vendors can add:
  • Upsell products
  • Cross-sell products

Attributes Management

• Vendors can add multiple attributes as required.
• Options include:
  • Use existing attributes
  • Make attributes visible on product page

• Attributes appear under Additional Information section.

Attributes Tab (UX Improvement)

• While editing products:

  • An Ajax loader appears on the Attributes tab
  • Indicates attribute terms are being fetched
  • Prevents repeated clicks

• Vendors can:

  • Use admin-created attributes
  • Request new or updated attributes via Ask Admin

Product Tags & Brands

• Vendors can add and manage:
  • Product Tags
  • Product Brands
• Helps improve:
  • Product categorization
  • Search visibility

Tags and brands are visible on the product page.

Product Status

• Vendors can set product status as:
  • Online
  • Draft
• If set to Online:
  • Product is published only if admin permission is granted

Virtual & Downloadable Products

• Vendors can mark products as:
  • Virtual
  • Downloadable

Downloadable Product Settings

• File Name
• File URL
• Download Limit
• Expiry Date

Final Product Creation

• After saving:
  • Product appears in Product List

• Product is live on the frontend for customers.
