Kitchen and Customer Screen for Restaurant POS

Kitchen and Customer Screen for Restaurant POS is an add on for WooCommerce Point of Sale by Webkul. It gives a restaurant two extra screens: a kitchen display where the chefs see every ticket the counter sends and move it through On Hold, Preparing and Completed, and a customer screen in the dining room that tells diners which order numbers are being cooked and which are ready to collect.

Both screens update in real time. When a cashier sends a ticket, it appears on the kitchen board within a second, and when the kitchen marks a plate ready, the customer screen changes in the same moment.

This documentation is written for three people: the store owner who installs and configures the module, the cashier who sends tickets from the till, and the kitchen staff who work the board.

Where to start

If you are setting this up for the first time, read these six pages in order.

  1. Overview — what the module does and how the pieces fit together.
  2. Installation — what has to be in place before the screens appear.
  3. Licence and Updates — activate the module with your purchase code.
  4. Real Time Connection — choose Firebase or Socket and enter the details.
  5. Kitchen Users — create the account the kitchen signs in with.
  6. Customer Screen Setup — the wording and artwork the dining room sees.
