Overview

The connector moves two kinds of data between Printify and your WooCommerce marketplace: products come from Printify into the store, and orders go from the store to Printify. Printify then keeps the store informed through webhooks, so later changes to products and orders can flow back automatically.

How the connection works

Every connection is made with a Printify Personal Access Token and one Printify shop.

The admin connects one Printify shop for the store's own products.
Each vendor connects one Printify shop for their own vendor store.
A Printify shop can be linked to only one account at a time.

As soon as a shop is connected, the connector registers webhooks with Printify so that product and order changes reach the store without anyone pressing a button. See Webhook Events.

How products flow

Import Products reads the products in your Printify shop and holds them, ready to create.
Create Products turns them into WooCommerce products in the background, with their name, description, price, weight, variations and images.
The products are assigned to the Default Category, saved as Draft or Published, and belong to whoever connected the shop. A vendor's products appear in that vendor's store.
Later changes in Printify can be applied with Update from Printify, or automatically when Auto Update Products is on.

How orders flow

A customer buys a Printify product in your marketplace.
The order appears on Manage Orders for the admin or vendor whose Printify product was bought. If the order holds products from several sellers, each seller sees and sends only their own items.
The order is sent to Printify automatically at checkout (Auto Export Orders) or by hand with Export selected.
When Printify processes and ships the order, the connector can update the WooCommerce status and add a tracking note for the customer.

Orders placed directly in Printify can also be brought into the store with Import from Printify. Read more in Manage Orders.
